In 2024, Havens distributed 2,114 grants totaling over $1,615,646 to individuals and families all across New York City. The average grant was $764.

• 20% of beneficiaries were survivors of domestic violence.

• 32% of our beneficiaries were employed at the time they received a Havens grant, up from 28% in 2023. Only 6% of grantees reported living in households earning over $40,000.

• 72% of beneficiaries were renters, 16% lived in shelters and 1% owned their home at the time of their grant. 33% of grantees reported living alone.

• 9% of beneficiaries were children, 17% were young adults, and 19% were seniors.
