In 2022, Havens distributed 2,024 grants totaling over $1,514,819 to individuals and families all across New York City. The average grant was $748.

• 65% of all Havens' grants provided housing-related needs including rent/mortgage, furnishings, utilities, and moving/storage.

• 8% of beneficiaries were children, 18% were young adults, and seniors received 20% of our grants.

• 31% of our beneficiaries were employed at the time they received a Havens grant. Only 5% reported living in households earning more than $40,000.
